Agree, really good read (although a few typos). His account of watching the Sir Galahad get hit was quite moving.
There's an interesting article on him in tomorrow's programme with a plug for the book.
I remember turning up at Orient a few years back and the whisper was that Micky had got a new striker in. There, warming up was Phil 'Eminem' Stant at 38 years old! Really thought MA had lost it then but he was a useful influence in the dressing room during the promotion run in & notched against Hull.

Read a review of it in When Saturday Comes. They do mention an incident when growing up in Bolton of him being particularly spiteful and racist to a young Pakistani lad playing cricket in their street. Not nice.

Always remember Stant's reaction to us getting promoted down in Plymouth. At the final whistle when with all other players in front of us supporters he was there going absolutely mental, it looked as though he may just jump over the advertising boarding and crack a few heads together just for the crack.
