Nah, it's simple. Write a list and buy ONLY whats on the list. We use Tescos and Sainsburys online and spend roughly £80 a week. Last weekend we didn't do an online shop and went to ASDA. Ended up spending £123.

I guess it depends on whether your personal weakness is "once seen, must have" or "hey click away - it's only t'internet, not real money !"

Do it, just avoid fruit and veg as can be a bit manky!
i use tescos all the time and swear by the lazy delivery method, the chap who brings it even helps me up the stairs with it!!
do not do it after a fat green smokie though as you will end up spending loads..

I don't buy fruit, veg or meat from supermarkets so can't comment on the quality they deliver. You can choose to have an alternative if they don't have what you want (which is always the most expensive alternative they sell) but you can just reject it on delivery at no cost to you.

Delivery is £6 for orders under £50 and I think that drops for orders over £100 (well worth it imo, rather bung them a fiver than face going round a supermarket)

Delivey can be next day and they give a one hour time slot. If they are late they give you a voucher for £10 off the next shop.

I was going to use Saino's. Their website seems a lot more user friendly than Ocado and I find Tesco repulsive in every way.

I've always used Tesco until recently, when I used Asda for the first time, now they have started delivering in the area. I tend to use it to stock up on all the big items...bottles of coke, long life fruit juices, cereals, tins of beans, washing powder, cat litter, pasta etc.
The substitutions can be variable tho..my son had order AA batteries and they didn't have any so sent AAA batteries...not exactly very helpful! But they are usually clearly notified. I have now got an Asda credit card for the free delivery but even with £5 charge, when it saves me hour of my time, my petrol and the hassle of queueing, I think its worth it.

Just take the amount of cash you want to spend and leave the plastic at home. Job's a good'un.

Yeah but you have to looking for it. The other day, i looked online at what special offers there were, and couldn't see anything interesting. Then when i got there Findus Crispy Panackes were half price.

I use tescos every week, occasionaly they will swap what you order fro something shit but you can give it back for a refund plus with tescos you can hunt aorund t'internet for some quality discount vouchers. I normally get about £10 a week off in vouchers.

I'm with you on the over spend, I save about £40 a month doing it online, another tip would be to do the shop after eating as your stomach will do the clickin for you if you have the munchies

Sainsburys has been fine for me and I use it for weekly shops.
