Just seen this - John Prescott you are a legend for saying YES! which basically carried the whole campaign forward.

Do you miss all the flowers and letters that BHA fans used to send you?

A small section of the coach park was in Lewes.
It was the "built up area of Brighton and Hove" issue that was the critical error. The problem was that the defined built up area had been changed during the course of the prolonged planning process and this hadn't been picked up by the civil servants who drafted the decision letter. As was said at the time, it was a "technical error", not one that made it wrong in principle to grant planning permission, but an error nevertheless.

Worrying that there's apparently a queue of Brightonians lining up for the baked goods. That's northern behaviour.
:lolol:

Those aren't pasties are they? They look rectangular to me and have no seam. There's also a load of sausage rolls.

He's got you all there under false pretenses!

I'm going to boo the lying toe rag at the Amex later.

Johnny Prescott - Johnny Turncoat more like

Grrrrrr!

Loved the recorded interview with JP they played before the game. He seemed pleased as punch we got the stadium and had some really complimentary things to say about it and about the campaigning. Suspect he said much the same things in Dick's Bar after the game, when he appeared on stage with Dick Knight. Sadly the sound was atrocious and couldn't hear a word of it!

Still, the great man was kind enough to sign the back of my season ticket at the station - and when the pen I borrowed from an innocent bystander refused to work (sorry about that, still got your pen, PM me and I'll give you it back next time) the good Lord whipped out a multi-surface writing implement of his own and that worked a treat.

Legend!

Great interview - particularly the bit about being approached by Brighton fans wherever he went who lobbied him about the planning permission. Anyone on here who thinks he did not make a substantial contribution to the future of our club is just plain thick.
