Unfortunately, I have to report that one amongst us is a common thief. Out of the 2,000 fans that went to City on Saturday one of them stole my 10x5 St Georges Cross Brighton Flag from the Brighton enclosure.

I took it with me and the Falmer Banners to display at City but it had been stolen by the time I went to collect the banners so my good deeds for the club end up costing me. Thanks.

If anyone sees the flag around, it has across the horizontal red bar the words "Surrey Seagulls" and has in the top left corner the new club crest.

I have ask Bristol City for video footage of the end of the game as there is a security camera above where the flag was displayed so hopefully I will be able to pick out the thief and then display and shame them.

I can take it being nicked by an apposing fan to some degree but being nicked by of our own is somewhat hard to stomach. If you have taken it then please contact me and return it and no action will be taken, however, if it is not returned and I get a mug shot of the person taking it then I will press charges.

Yours pissed off

There's always one. I got slightly hacked off when I was distributing balloons before the game with my 8 year old daughter. A bloke came up to me and started mouthing off, saying why didn't I give him more effing balloons. He grabbed my bag of balloons and started pulling on it, then gave up when I didn't let go. I know it was only one person, but it hacked me off nonetheless, having forked out for them with my own dosh.

Sometimes you wonder why you bother :(

Here's a piccy of the flag in question on a wet and windy Withdean afternoon.

Hope you get it back.

Is is possible it was taken along with other Falmer banners and the person doesn't realise that is with their stuff?

There were lots of flags banners etc all shoved into one area (thanks Bristol stewards for making us cram the giant flag into a stupidly small area when we had permission to take it and display it fully  )

I think it will turn up somewhere because I cannot imagine that an Albion fan would deliberately steal it.

But then I am naive and too trusting of people

All the other Falmer Banners were still there when I went to collect my array of flags/banners. I really hope it was taken by mistake and I would be the first to put my hands up and apologise for the insinuation if that was the case.

At the end of the day I just want my flag back that has been to many an away game with both England and Brighton.

Thanks for the image, at least people will know what to look for.
