what play Bridge at right back? anyway he didnt have a choice, clearly Zaha was instructed to go with the weaker full-back. and to be fair, Calderon dealt with him pretty well first half.

Definitely. We lost control of the tie when Zaha switched to left-wing in the first game. We never got it back because he stayed there, galvanising his team and creating space by twisting and turning and running rings around our defenders. It might sound counter-intuitive, but it isn't that hard to play as a left-footed player as right-back, particularly against a winger that likes to cut in. Calderon didn't do badly but he did struggle against enormously against Zaha in the second leg as well. When he was taken off, Zaha had even more space with no-one assigned to him.

But yeah, let's blame the clap banners and the balloons instead.

Once upon a time, I was desperate to use the bogs. I asked a steward where the nearest toilet was. He took me along a corridor and let me into the first team changing room. I did the business and emerged a few minutes later. The steward closed the changing room.

Not at the Amex. At the Nou Camp.

What other facts are there other than those suggested in the email. My point being is that you were told about the email so that is self certifying confirmation as the email exists. You are suggesting that EVERYTHING that has come out this week is true.

Well so far it has. All I can do is state what I was told. People can believe what they want, or not. I can see an emotional and pissed off Poyet firing that e mail off as he knew by then the game was up and I also think he and Barber do not get on which is who he was pointing the finger at. I can't believe some people can't believe it would be genuine. Behind the scenes of the well oiled BHAFC PR machine now all sorts of stuff could go on. After all, all it is, is a bunch of human beings trying to work together, the same as every other office environment.

Absolutely, if people knew what went on in my office we would be closed down and i think only the UN could be empowered to sort it out.

But the only thing we KNOW is fact is that the email was sent from Gus' account. Nothing More, Nothing less.

The Poo thing is a PR disaster for the club.Ok, it adds to the legend of the BHAFC V CPFC story I guess but not in a good way and we will be reminded of this from every opposing fan in every stadium next season and for years to come I am sure.

Maybe, probably just a made up account. I've no doubt this email looks like its from within the club but come on, it not written by Poyet. Why would he write that? It's not his job? Does he deal with cleaning issues and clappers now too? Just a Prank.

As has been pointed out on here, all club employees and some ex-employees have seen the email. It was a "reply all" to an email from Paul Barber. Barber then replied to Gus's email, so he obviously had no doubts that it was genuine..

Im not an armchair manager like some people on here but I do know that games are won and lost on split second decisions. The moment that turned the tie was Zaha's first goal.... he was on the left side being marked by Bridge.... who let him go... nothing at all to do with Calde on the right. If bridge had cut out the cross nobody knows what would have happened and you wouldnt be going on about this.... or if Barnes had scored and if and if and if and if..... let's stick to what we know.

I keep saying that the man is engineering a position for departure. His legacy will be a cocked up play-off attempt against our bitterest rivals that we should have won. A waste of the best squad assembled at BHA for years. An automatic position chucked away through naive tactics and this sordid ugly public mess that will linger in the memory for years.
Three and a half years of good work chucked away through blind ambition.

hmm agree....! not many people would put it like that but i think you are bang on actually.............he might be a good manger in 5 or 6 years , he isn't right now.........still love him for what he's done for the club but am now gutted for what he has done to us.

The Independent has seen the email too but decided it didn't explain the Poyet suspension so didn't use it. Serious paper.
Indeed. But part 2 of the e-mail certainly reflects the degree of antagonism between Poyet and Barber about how decisions are made by the club and not discussed with the manager.
