If Man U have their heads screwed on they might try appointing somebody with a long term view to building a better and more coherent squad.

Equally, if Solskjaer had anything about him he might have managed to persuade them of that necessity in the 2 and a half years or so he's been there.

I think Joachim Löw would be a good choice.

Taking a break after winning the World Cup with Germany in 2014. He was national manager for 15 years and was impressive for most of that time.

looking at the list on paper, why would you want to ship them on? its a damn good list of players, ok a couple past their best and Pogba consistently underperformed, they should be doing better.

To make way for better defenders and defensive midfielders, the new manager will shirley want to bring in players.

Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic (old now), Fred, Mata (old now), McTominay ….. imho wouldn’t get anywhere near the Chelsea and ManC first 11’s.

Agree though that they’re underperforming, coaching and tactics must be crap. £926m spent in fees (£441m on his reign), shouldn’t buy bottom 3 form.
