Was a brilliant player. I've never seen someone that big run so fast and have a good touch too! It took El Habd and Elphs to stop him tday. They even bounced off him a few times. Had anyone heard of him before cos I hadn't?

Fair play to him.

No and I too thought he was a real handful.

On loan from Sunderland isnt he? Looked like he had it all, luckily we didnt test his finishing.

Went down like a baby though.

You always know a team will be physical when they have three MASSIVE black blokes in the team. That forward and the centre half looked like they should be heavyweight boxers.

Like you say, well done to El Hab and Elphick for getting the better of them.

I second all the credit for tommy and adam e.a. It feels like we have come through a game against a very good side - physical, technical and tactical - and beaten them fair and square.
happy days

The CB number 2 I think was the one was was at Southend last yr and was WOEFUL at Withdean - one of the worst ever CB performances I've seen. He was a bit better today than last yr though one of them should've been sent off for assaulting Barnes

Correct Sheebo. He was a complete donkey, gifted Forster two goals and got hauled off at half time.

if we are lucky enough to go up this year, I would make a serious bid for him. He is possibly the best centre forward I have seen down here since the wigan bloke who went to west Ham and had to stop because of injury.....ashton

He was a real handful physically, his touch was comedy at times though. Don't think he had a shot in the game either.

If he could control the ball better on the ground he would be a good player. Would still sooner have Barnes and Murray.

Murray beat their centre backs in the air most times simply by timing his jumps and Barnes scored with a header so that says it all about the 2 big lumps at the back.

Are you serious - he was slow, lost control of the ball several times (once or twice almost tripped over his own feet), and despite his huge physical advantage over Elphick and El Abd, I'm not sure he had a decent header or shot. If you have a guy like that in your team you are destined to play hoofball. Not for me, thanks.

Correct, I am stunned that people are actually praising that useless lump. He was rubbish from where I sat.

I also remember Mvoto (#2) being utter scheisse for Southend last season, he was embarrassing. Not so bad today but still pretty poor.
