Latics coach John Sheridan has re-registered as a player on the eve of the 2003/2004 season.

Sheridan senior had hung his boots up last season but due to the depletion of the Latics squad over the summer:nono: , the experienced midfield man has been persuaded to become a player again.

It is not known at this stage how much Sheridan will feature but his experience could prove vital and Sheridan will retain his old number 8 squad number
:bounce: :clap2: :clap2:

Latics also signed 3 other players on non-contract terms on Friday with Mikael Antoine Curier, Dave Carney and Matt O'Halloran all joining.

The trio have been training with Latics all week with Curier scoring in a behind closed doors game at Bolton in midweek.

6 foot plus, 20 year old striker Curier is a former Preston North End and Nottingham Forest player who was released by Forest at the end of last season and he has been given squad number 12.

Australian Dave Carney is a left sided midfield player who was released by Everton at the end of last season and he takes the number 15 squad number.

20 year old Nottingham born Matt O'Halloran has also joined after being released by Derby County and he has been given squad number 16.
------------------------------------------

Now you know how desperate the situation at Oldham has got

That strikers supposed to be good though

so they can all play tomorrow, if there any good they'll be signed, simple

except sheridan though, he's only with us till our key midfielders are off the injury list!

still better than playing 17-18 year old's, except Carlos Roca:cool:

unless eyresy is injured then Carney wont get a game.....eyresy's our captain. he's expected to play but with a strapped up knee.

Dowie is a superb manager in the transfer market it has to be said though, signed some gems on free's, made them worth millions but then they got sold behind is back for f*ck all:censored:

will be interesting now, striker looks a good one

John Sheridan back, that'll mean the Sheff Wednesday game next week will have a sell out if he's playing (he's a legend there)

NDIWA ME LORD NDIWA
NDIWA ME LORD NDIWA
NDIWA ME LORD NDIWA
OOOOOOH LORD KANAGA??? ???

feel sorry for the announcer!

Carney might play in Lef side of midfield if Murray Plays right wing which means roca is sub:censored:

Murray cant be left out though.....how he never got a game for southampton i'll never know:nono:

Does that mean you've got 16 players now?

Can you name a full squad for the game?

"Brighton sunk by hat-trick from unknown Swedish/Congolese youngster".

It's Div 2, it would appear in an 1/8 th column hidden inside somewhere:( Another downside to being relegated we get virtually no coverage in the press
