Visiting 'Latics World' commentator's Albion mispronunciatons so far:-

Nicky FOSTER
Adam AB-ED !!!
Dayvid MARTOTT
MICHAEL Kuipers

It’s always good to hear an alternative view, via the opposition’s commentaries but, FFS, these guys are provided with a team sheet in good time, and Hawesy is only at the next desk....

Very unprofessional, IMHO.

No problem. Hawesy is truly great - long overdue to be on national BBC. But you get a far better impression of how the Albion are really doing by listening to a more neutral / hostile view. Any praise is then more sincere, and doubly deserved.

They were very complimentary of Dean Cox - and Forster/Foster (cheers for that snippet, fatbadger) plus 'the ex-Rochdale lad' too. Even though they thought Elphick had scored, despite the bellowed out PA announcement!

After all that, you appreciate the SCR quality even more. It only goes downhill afterwards, when I switch back to hear the phone-in.

Ironically, the old pronunciation of Forster is Foster. It's only really in the 20th century that the 'r' has been pronounced. Indeed, the name Foster is a corrupted spelling derived from the pronunciation.

Badger... You really are SAD :lolol:

It must be the fact that Norman Gall is from the 19th century that he constantly refers to Nicky Foster
