take her to the football, if she doesnt want to go . .are you sure you married the right woman?

alternatively offer her 4 hours quality shopping in Manchester whilst you do the footy, then wine and dine her for the evening followed by a swish hotel for the night, and make sure you 'perform' . . . . .
job done!

easy really :smokin:

I think the answer depends on whether you asked her before whether you could go. If you did & she said Yes, then it's her problem as she shouldn't have said yes if it pisses her off (mental note - ask bird for permission when she's in a good mood). If you have just said, I'm off to Oldham to watch a game of footy on our anniversary then you've got to stay because she has every right to be pissed off.

Either way, it's a tightrope you're walking. It's a lesson for people to get married in the summer

August IS summer and no football was played at this time, when we got married, but it has slowly got earlier and earlier.....

Just phoned the missus and told her the plan and she seemed ok with it, but the proof of the pudding as they say......:shootself

Naah, easier than that, take her for a romantic weekend to Manchester, on the Saturday afternoon you go to Oldham and she gets to go shopping in the Trafford Centre, then you meet up for a candlelit dinner in the evening, everyone goes home a winner!!!

Including the Albion, hopefully...
