Wrong! A captain does exactly that, sounds from reports AT THE GAME that it was not an awful tackle maybe just a bit enthusiastic and whole hearted.

More of the same please Brighton, perhaps the referee should have a think about his decisions though.

Not sure I agree that captains should be diving in two footed.

Not sure I agree that captains should be diving in two footed.


The point I am trying to make is that from reports I have had from people at the ground (inc. BHA fans & unbiased press) it wasnt a two footed tackle, he just went in 100%. I think everyone must agree that that IS exactly what we want from our captain. Unfortunately we can't foresee how referees will interpret these tackles.

After reading Ali's comment above I must admit I agree. Yeah I'm backing him up but I haven't seen the tackle yet either.

Remember though, as much as I hate him Roy Keane has been rated as one of the greatest club captains of all time and is wasn't unlike him to throw in a few atrocious tackles was it.
