West Ham won £40,000 for winning that tie. I reckon we should ask for that.

We should not sue for anything. There are too many rich lawyers already. Let's get them out of the game.

Plus gate receipts for a home tie I think. Watford went on to win the next tie so it is possible that we could have also.

So I think it must be at least £100k

Strangely quiet on that front isn't it...

The FA promised to look into after the Premiership enquiry had finished.

Easy to find it on the BBC website.

I been looking at the news pages, messageboards everyday since the fine.

Everyone beat me to it, I think we should go for gate receipts too

I know for a fact that the Albion are looking at this very carefully. I think they just feel that they are quite a way back in the queue at the moment. But there ought to be a few quid coming our way.

Although reinstatement into the competition is not possible, Goldberg says The Seagulls would have a claim for compensation.

Bit of a pessimistic attitude there.

I think nothing would be fairer that a round robin tournament involving ourselves, Chelsea and Man Utd with all matches being played at Wembley!

depends on the what the FA do and how easy they make it for us to pursue. hopefully they could just tell WestHam to give us the 40k and leave it at that. otherwise im inclined to hope the club just let this go. its bound to cost more in lawyers and general managment time than will be recouped.

I suspect West Ham (and the FA) will point to the fact that the player was registered correctly, but there was just an issue over his contract.

What? They cheated. They didn't follow the rules of the competition and as a result we are out of pocket by £40k plus gete receipts for tie against Watford and possibly further winnings and gate receipts if we had beaten them. WHy should we just let that go.

If DK had put the Gareth Barry saga down to experience we would have missed out on £1million!!

I would settle on Tevez and Zamora on Loan for next season, then I would just about forgive the Hammers.

Not sure about Tevez, I think he would scare Gully, and Gully's Girls. Bobby could do a job though.

BUT...we have experience of spending out millions on fancy lawyers and barristers and where has it got us?

I would not risk any more money ( especially as we havent any anyway) on something that may well take years to sort out. The Premier League recon its fair that they are fined....that doesnt leave much else for anyone else.
