It's just sheer greed.

I know, from my line of work, that the hardest people to part with their cash are the onse who could most afford it.

Well basically if you earn a living from a UK company wether you own it or not or if you live in the Uk or as in most cases both, you should of course pay income tax!!!

However these people are just not putting in they are certainly not TAKING out like benefit cheats mentioned earlier, who in my opinion should have their Britishness taken away as in fact cheating the Government is treason.

Sorry I was having a family dinner with my family here in sunny Cornwall not back til mid September:clap2:

These scumbags deprive the public purse (schools/hospitals/emergency services/housing, etc, etc) of millions - a far greater lack of patriotism that any benefit bandit IMO.

branson is so loved by the british public but he is the biggest con artist we have.

he franchises the virgin name and sells the brands he creates to mugs.

anyone seen virgin cola recently?
or virgin vodka?
how about virgin underwear?

or virgin records?
mobile?
credit card and banking?

of course he keeps the moneyspinners(government subsidies) virgin railways and airline (but even that is mostly underwritten by singapore airlines)

trust him with the lottery?

you are having a laugh

Oh pipe down, you raving leftie !

Don't you realise that if we tax the rich they'll all leave the country and take their wealth with them ?, and then where would we all be with no trickle down effect to take care of us ?

If you don't like it, may I suggest you leave the country and take all those frightful benefit oiks with you ;)

About two weeks ago, in a small Mace in Donegal - yes. Although it was a case of 'f***, didn't think they made that anymore', and I then went and picked up a bottle of Football Special...

my point exactly the branson machine creates a brand offshoot, runs it for a while to generate a business profile then off loads it to a mug punter.

and then it dies a natural death due to lack of support and publicity.

anyone seen virgin vodka recently?

Not seen the vodka but as far as I know virgin mobile is still going strong as is the credit card. Airmiles from the credit card have paid for 3 flights recently ... which was nice. Both companies still part of the Virgin group I believe.

And the problem is ? Branson can spot a business idea and build it up to be successful - if someone is stupid enough to buy it and then not able to keep it going surely that's their problem ?

I'm sure we'd all be happy if there "tax dodgers" just closed down their businesses and retired somewhere hot - after all we'd then have loads more people on the dole and many more scroungers :jester:

Just smacks of jealousy - they aren't breaking the law - just using it to their advantage - something we'd all do if we could ( although some of the whiter than white lefties on here would probably claim they wouldn't use the loopholes! ). If people don't like it then get the law changed rather than branding people that produce wealth as some kind of evil.

Benefit cheats on the otherhand ARE breaking the law and so deserve to be punished.

Not really a fair assesment, although I accept that these guys might not be paying their fair share, they contribute far more than their 'benefit cheat' counterparts.

I would suspect that their businesses employ many people and therefore provide incomes to many and of course these provide tax revenue for the Government, the irony isnt completedly lost on me with that !!

Those business's would buy products etc, from suppliers, hopefully many within the UK !!

So yes they should be paying a fair share, but there conduct remains legal, and they do contribute to the overall economy, the benefit cheat does not.

I'd rather live next door to a benefit cheat than some greedy, selfish capitalist toerag

Their conduct is legal but the reason for the original post was to question the morality of that situation.

The wealth of these individuals is created by people who do pay tax and contribute to society and the attitude seems to me to be one of "little people" pay tax but the mega-rich don't need to bother. Frankly to then have these pr*cks tell the rest of us that we can no longer afford pensions, decent health and education, etc fills me with disgust.
