... was my 11-year old daughters reaction to the result, which put a smile on my face after I was feeling far more down than I deserved to be. And off she went with a hop and skip to whack a ball around the garden. I think kids 'get it' far more than us oldens.

and then I went and sunk this beauty that I've been saving up to celebrate Brighton going up. Thought I'd be drinking it a year ago, so made sure I enjoyed it

My 7 year old was similar. He got really annoyed when Villa scored and we heard it on the radio.

Later in the day I tried to see if he was alright 'Look, I know not winning the league was heartbreaking but...'

He straight away cut me off with 'Heartbreaking? Are you being serious daddy, no one died and we are still going up'. the wife had a field day and joined in, bloody kids
