Presumably, the 2 who voted 'over 7,000' were joking?

Have we EVER got over 5,000 for a friendly at Withers? What did the Mayo one get?

Did we really? Very good. Okay, I guess it will be about the same as that then.

Are the proceeds somehow linked to OGH's new contract and wages

Don't want to ruin the thread but yesterday when buying my Barnet ticket before they all sell out they mentioned that they might just get to 5000....That was before the new 1 year deal...which might attract a few more mind you.....

A shame it's not more for a man that has given a lot to this club.

I voted 6001 - 6500

Hopefully a decent turnout. Loads of Charlton in all sections of the ground, and why not, it all swells the coffers, plus a load of people who either want to see the Legends game or chuck a few well-earned quid in OGH's general direction.

Oh, and there must be a fair few people who are gagging to see how Micky's new team actually fares against opposition from, y'know, the LEAGUE.

And doesn't the new home kit get officially unveiled also?

Maybe the sun will even shine on OGH's parade. Hope so

Feels like the season starts HERE

I really can't see that being the case. Charlton have sold 900 themselves remember.

I reckon if a lump like Mayo can get 6,000 then a committed, skilful, and popular player like Hart will be able to beat it. Let's face it, at least this year it's a player worth celebrating, a real 'fans favourite.' I'm going for 6,500, and I'd be disappointed for Hart if it was much less than that.

Trust me it will be less than 4,000 unless we sell a shitload today and tomorrow morning

I reckon it will be about 5201...give or take!

... a lump like Mayo ...

Good grief!

Do you remember when Mayo was the Albion's top scorer across a whole season? Or when he was voted runner up in the player of the season poll?

Your tedious, ignorant insults are getting right up my nose.

Testimonials are to celebrate ten years of loyal service and some major contributions to the club's success in that time. Your contribution has been NIL. So piss off.

Yes, I do.

So what? I'm not here to entertain you. Not all of us have to praise the club's every word and decision. I don't particularly care if anything gets up your nose - who are you?

Ok, if my contribution is nil, then isn't EVERYBODY'S? I've "contributed" the same as every other normal albion fan. If we all "pissed off" there would be no club. Individually we are all nothing, me included, but together everything.

p.s. I'd like to remember someone's post this afternoon along the lines of "I remember when we could all post our opinions on football without personal abuse." Several people agreed this is a quality that's been lost. Maybe, as a moderator, you should do your bit towards regaining it.

The abuse you give Mayo is still uncalled for, ignorant and tedious.

I rarely post abuse. I've made an exception in this case. Mainly because I can't see any way that the phrase "a lump like Mayo" is an "opinion about football".

Sadly less than 4,000 i reckon

I suppose with the general lack of cash around for a lot of people at the moment I guess that some are saving their money for the 'proper' games once the season starts.

However with the weather forecast good for tomorrow along with it being Micky's first game back at Withdean I'm hopeful there could be a last minute rush for tickets.

Fingers crossed as OGH deserves a good turnout.
