Was that stat I just saw in some Asian language goalscoring attempts - Croatia 16, England 3 ?!? (And none on target)

On a train...
Big Sam, Stuart Pearce, Martin O'Neil, Mark McGhee, Alan Curbishley would all have been better choices than this f*** monkey.

McClown (mk2) OUT!

The only decent attempt on goal England have had is Gary Neville's. Still, that's a 100% strike rate.

Is anyone gonna tell me that ANY of our midfielders warrant their place more than Beckham now?

What was that bollocks they kept spouting about Carrick's so-called 'range of passing'? Utterly ridiculous.

Scott Parker put about two tackles in and Lampard did what Lampard does nowadays, fucks up and looks to the sky.

Swallow your pride and put someone who plays with some BALLS back in that team, until then I'm not watching.

Jesus. Mind you, sometimes it's better to play shite and actually get well and truly turned over than get away with it, as we have so many times. Then nothing changes.

I called this one here in the office before kick-off just looking at the teamsheet. Crazy to try a new system for this match, midfield looked well short of creativity. We looked like a team there for the taking.

Obviously you can't plan or legislate for that second goal - but as a colleague just said, 'I was told playing Under-10s that you never aim the ball between the posts for a back-pass'. Well, quite.

Poor Neville, gets credited with an own goal! :nono:

Only way he will ever score for England!!

Seriously though, Robbo cannot be blamed for the goal and made two top top saves tonight to keep the score down. McClaren though has got some serious questions to answer - why the f***, when we were so lucky to go in 0-0 did he not eat humble pie and say I was wrong, the 3-5-2 aint working I'll change it before it costs us? McClaren out!!!!!! Oh and we need Beckham back.

You've got to like McLaren's response to the second goal. His scribbled something on his pad. I really want to know what he wrote.

Good call, probably deserves a thread on its own.

I reckon he wrote down 'Barbados or Thailand'. Those being his holiday destination choices for June 2008.

Thought McClaren was a bad choice from the day they appointed him and have seen nothing of him as a club manager that made me think he should be national coach.

However I think its time the players also started to come under some criticism. Where is the pride passion and effort that we used to be so famous for? Half the team don't look interested.

Don't get me wrong the manager has a role to motivate them but should players really need that much motivation to put in a bit of effort for their country?

You can't win games when only half the team are putting in any effort...ask Dean Wilkins!!

Dear God that was depressing. Why didn't I choose a nice hobby like bird watching when I was younger? Football's going to have me in the looney bin pretty soon.

Exactly, the job he did at boro wasn't that great. He was giving good backing by the chairman and spent a lot of money yet failed to deliver anything special. One of the main reasons why I can't understand how he got the job over Allardyce who has acheived so much at Bolton.

Because Allardyce plays one dimensional football with a team of looneys and would be found out in 2 minutes at international level whereas McLaren got a fairly crap Boro side to a European final playing nice football.

McLaren made a HUGE f*** up playing 3-5-2 tonight but my guess is he won't do it again soon.
