Official site - Compensation

The official site has said that DK negotiated a figure 'well above that reported'.

Unfortunately it doesn't say how much the reported figure was.

Are we working on the £100k basis or the £230k basis?

All credit to them for getting it on there before next Friday though...

Agreed, but those things don't tend to come to light.

the Reading/West Ham one only did because Reading started spitting their dummy and saying they would never approach another manager who was with a club. Hang on a minute...

I've just read this and have to agree maybe the transfer window should apply to managers as well.

The club's statement about the amount of compensation is not very helpful. I've seen or heard £100k, £120k and £230k, so which is it and are they being deliberately ambiguous?

the transfer window could stop you appointing a manager who's already working at a club, but not from appointing someone currently out of work or recently sacked by their club

Probably, Knight wo't want to broadcast how much money he has available in case we have to pay compensation to another club

Glad DK always manages to fit in a reminder to John Prescott about Falmer in almost every press conference!

Shame Prescott probably never reads or hears anything about this though.

Out of this reading have made a profit and got a better manager than pardew, but who no's how it will go as coppell is used to building teams and being the underdog, but done o.k for us this season.:lolol:
