I have woken up, chilled and relaxed, to find that you have insulted me (as per…), and that I have no way of finding out how bad I should be feeling.

This is frustrating.
Don’t worry. You were great. You sang America America.

Not sure about the Tats though.

I got to @Hamilton's insult slightly late, and thought he was likening you to US Lulu singing the national anthem...

...and I still agreed.

Dragged my ass to Walkabout as my lad won the Uniball Div 2 title yesterday with Brighton Uni Panthers (26-0 vs Sussex Uni), so went along to celebrate their win, but only stayed for the first half.

I must be getting old & cynical as I didn't really enjoy it tbh, barely watched the game, and just felt the whole Superbowl event has become "WWE entertainment".

Remember the good ol' days when it was just about two football teams wanting to lift that Lombardi trophy - and not about pre game fashion parades, celebs chugging beers in suites, and an overblown halftime concert? 🙁

Maybe I need to get some more sleep....

It's probably tough following getting to a Superbowl but I would ditch Kyle Shanahan as the guy seems pretty uninspiring and made a couple of strange calls in the game...

Fun fact, the biggest 3 comebacks in a Superbowl were against teams with Kyle on board in one form or another !

Andy Reid just some brilliant calls esp when the scripted stuff ran out...

Quick question for the more knowledgeable than me...Just before the last play Romo said not to worry about the clock as it was effectively the first period of overtime...I since read today the call by Reid was really gutsy as the clock was running out, so just wondered what the rule is

The second period starts where the first one finished.

Making electing having the ball from the toss a very strange decision, as it completely controls how the '2nd' team plays out their possession.

You could say that about most of the league now tbh. Tackling technique these days is atrocious for the most part. All about the highlight reel or trying to strip the ball.
How about lowering the shoulder, wrapping up, and driving your man to the floor? Simple.

True. Just poor tackling technique overall in the league. Not sure how much that is down to coaching though. Clearly it plays some role but I think there are other factors as well.

Seahawks were one of the best tackling teams during LOB times. Def a lot of that was because of the talent we've had but we were also very well coached team at that time. Players knew how to tackle and we also had guys like Kam Chancellor (one of my favorite players) making big hits. But most if not all of his hits were clean and legal at that time. Pretty sure nowadays refs would throw flags though.

I agree defenders prefer to make flashy plays rather than just do their main job. Again how much that is down to them wanting to be "heroes" and how much up to coaching and team defensive strategy (creating turnovers rather than just stopping opponent) is another question.

But I think it's also rule changes over the years (most of them used as a false excuse to protect the players). League is giving clear advantage to offenses which is understandable as star QBs/WRs are making money for the NFL and most people want to see high scoring games and also their players in Fantasy football get lot of points. I like FF for fun but I think it has also ruined the perception of football in people's eyes.

I still love to see some old fashioned smash mouth football and not flags thrown on almost every play. Let the players play, it's not a frickin basketball where every contact is a foul.

I enjoyed the Super Bowl this year. A good competitive game between two very good teams. SF could not afford any errors, sadly for them they made them and Mahomes made them pay.

Anyway now the best part of the year begins when it's wall-to-wall FA and Draft rumours!

Terrible.

Would say I'm surprised but tbf I'm not really. Shooting is sadly on a "daily menu" in the US these days.

Now reported that one person has died and about 21? injured.

FFS 😢

What's even worse is half of the victims were kids

Stephanie Meyer, chief nursing officer for Children's Mercy Kansas City, said it was treating 12 patients from the rally, including 11 children between the ages of 6 and 15. The hospital told KMBC-TV that nine of the children had gunshot wounds. Meyer said all were expected to recover.

Hopefully they'll be fine physically but mentally could take years for some of them to recover from this nightmarish experience. Especially for the youngest ones.

Fans reportedly took down one of the shooters. Sure, can call them brave but at the same time also stupid going after a guy with a gun who already shot several people.

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves told a news conference that police were investigating whether the person tackled in the video is a suspect.

"I do want to comment on the question that I got earlier about a video of some fans tackling someone. We do have three persons detained and under investigation for today's incident. We are working to determine if one of the three are the one that was in that video were fans assisted police," she said.

Bucs re-sign Evans, I can sleep that little bit better now. Hopefully we manage to re-sign Mayfield before free agency and I would be relatively content.

How’s everyone’s off-season going with free agency about a week away?

Just waiting for the Broncos to put us and Russ out of his misery so we can move on from one of the most misjudged signings in our history (and yet George Payton still keeps his job)
