That's my first port of call tonight. The Brewdog is hopefully on and Mrs Q likes the Meantime lager. The Burning Sky beers are often on in the Selden as well. Which is my second port of call.

We went to the Wandering Goose before going to the cinema the other week. A quality pub. I could spend a long time looking at the bottled beer on offer. We tried to go back in afterwards and it was heaving. One thing that was noticable is that it was really noisy.

Definitely an early port of call type pub DKM. We just got a table last time and stayed for a few but wouldn't hold much hope of getting comfy later on.
Do you know........ My thirst is on its way.

Did they have either of the Burning Sky handpumps on? Plateau or Aurora?

They had one Burning Star hand pump on last night. I think it was L'Hiver but I cannot be sure as I was in a bit of a saison induced haze.

You lot can stick the seldon up your backsides.

The Welly is the best pub in Sussex (alongside The Wilk's Head, naturally) and I'll be there tomorrow popping back some quality APA.

The Seldem has the best cask selection in Worthing as well you know it Sidney.
The Goose had APA on last night..... Dark Star and Longmans as well as Punk IPA, Brooklyn Brown Ale, a gorgeous West Coast IPA and a few others.
And yes I have a headache today.

All good here after a nice night in Craft Beer Co with the Tubthumper Troupe featuring Pogue Mahone. Had a range of beers including one called Citrus Ninja Exchange which was especially nice. They're such lovely hosts as well.

We used to go in there pre match and I do remember the dark haired girl being very knowledgable and really pleasant.
You do need to know about the beers you are serving don't you. I went out for a pre nosh pint or two to the Tudor Close in Ferring last year and asked the barman what sort of beer one of the non-descript hand pumps contained. " it's just beer sir, ordinary beer" he said. Made me larf he did.

Prince George today for more of the bloody stuff.

Isn't it nice to have friends. Now I,m not one to gloat but Vegster has just knocked on my door following his Belgium trip and has bought me a pressie round. The two without labels need no introduction.

Yeah, lovely it was. So was one of the earlier ones - Oppolinasomething or something like that :)shrug:)

I'm supposed to be out on my bike this morning. For some reason, at 8.30am, this did not seem feasible.

What are the two without labels? Or am I missing something?

I know the girl you mean. I think she is the manager and yes she knows her stuff and happily assists you with her knowledge. There's a tall guy called Josh who is super nice as well and I love his enthusiasm. But like you I have been in pubs where I see a pump-clip which says "pale ale" and I ask what it is and I am told "it's a pale ale sir." Thanks, very helpful.

Westvleteren 12. Often accepted - on the US sites - as being the best beer in the world PM. 'm not going to argue with them, it is superb. Trouble is you have to pre book from the Abbey to pick a crate up so it's like gold dust. They have a cafe there where they will sell you 6 bottles only. I think last year was the only time they have actually released a beer to a distributor as a one off to finance some building works on the monastery. I did think about joining their order after tasting the beer.

A had a couple of Punk IPA as actually it's been ages since I has one, a Yakima red & dark star APA. I am sure I have had the APA before but didn't really enjoy it as much this time.

Nice to see the look of joy on your face, matched by my look of amazement at the gravitational anomaly in your kitchen.

Must have been that Sponge Bob bloke behind the bar, the one who posts on here, you know 'beer is beer'.
