Our new Polish teen kacper kozłowski came on for RUSG at half time, played 20 minutes and then was subbed off. Injury ? Disastrous form ? Anyone know ?

He’s had stomach problems recently I believe. He played nearly the whole half before going down with an injury and being subbed off in added time.

Undav, Van Hecke, and Khadra seem to be the only loan players potentially proving they've got what it takes for first team football next season. Maybe Ostigard or Clarke. The rest are seemingly not ready, too young, or have had stuttering loan spells.

Genoa (with Ostigard at centre back) finished 0-0. Pretty solid game from him. Brought the ball out well from defence a few times, and was an attacking threat at corners. Was a bit of a frantic game as Genoa are desperate for points, and that seemed to translate into a few bits of Ostigard's play with some heavy tackles or him bursting up field to join an attack.

Watched the match. Seemed to be a No.10 behind Undav when he came on. However, after RUSG got the last minute winner, he was replaced by a 33 year old, vastly experienced defensive midfielder/defender to see out the match. The commentator even commented that the change was purely tactical. He’d be pretty good up until then.

Reports of Ostigard & Van Hecke doing well defensively. Our aging central defenders may need some fresh blood next season especially without Burn to call upon

I have a feeling that Van Hecke had already been earmarked to replace Burn in the summer, which was possibly a factor in accepting that 13m in January rather than hold on to him for what was only another 15 games at the time. Blackburn fans seem very enthusiastic about him, albeit without the Leeds level of entitlement and delusion that they discovered him.

Not so sure about Ostigard. Have to wonder why Stoke didn’t fancy him and if he’d make the step up. Although Serie A isn’t exactly a weak league.

Agreed but Dunk, Duffy and Veltman are just 30. Webster is 27. ! Its not time to ship em out just yet.

But yes. Hayden Roberts (19), Van Hecke (21) and Ostigard (22) might have something to say about that.

Maybe not ready for the PL next season, but undoubtedly one of our most successful (and little mentioned) loanees this season. 'The best GK Walsall have ever had' (according to one fan anyway - still very highly rated by a lot of others though) is surely going places (wonder if Barcelona are still watching him?)

Yes, it's the Brighton derby at St. Andrews tonight - Taylor Richards againsy Aaron Connolly. Middlesbrough fans still hating Connolly, desperately trying to prove that his goal should be given as an own goal. Balogun gets the second, and that's apparanty great (he's an Arsenal starlet, dontcha know).
Birmingham fans meanwhile watching young Richards make his full debut are busy deciding that Taylor is shit (for some reason they think that's his name - I think they might have got another player on their books who is actually called Taylor ... and they all seem a bit confused as well as miserable). Anyway, their clamour to have him hooked was granted after 67 minutes. Another young loanee who's got an uphill struggle ahead of him!
Both sets of fans miserable, thinking that they are doing a really crap job against the other team, which has faster better players and a better manager! Boro fans may have cheered up a bit now that they've got a second (and it wasn't scored by Connolly, which would really have ruined their evening!)

Khadra substituted for Blackburn - not his best game apparantly. Van Hecke still held in high regard there though.

Clarke just carries on doing his job, largely unheralded at West Brom. Maybe he just might be a squad member as a LCB here for a season or two?

Koslowski mediocre for USG tonight, Mitoma brilliant off the bench, Scherpen a nervy performance and definitely needs another season on loan as nowhere near PL-ready.

So Khadra, Mitoma, and Van Hecke the most likely to join the first team next season? And Undav obviously.
