Can we continue with our saved demo game in the full version once it's released? I'm doing really well, and would hate to lose it...

RESULTS:

Brighton Reserves (Friendly) - W 2-0
AFC Telford (Friendly) - W 2-0
Doncaster Rovers (Friendly) - W 1-0
Tottenham Reserves (Friendly) - W 2-1
Glenavon (Friendly) - W 2-1
Bognor Regis (Friendly) - W 6-0

Yeovil (League 1) - W 3-0 (Sandaza 2, Sparrow)
Colchester Utd (Carling Cup R1) - W 2-0 (Sandaza, Lua Lua)

Just to update on my results:

Notts County (League 1) - W 3-1 (Bennett 2, Lua Lua)
Oldham (League 1) - W 4-0 (Dicker 2, Baz, Murray)
Birmingham (Carling Cup R2) - W 3-2 (Bennett, Baz, Lua Lua)
Bournemouth (League 1) - D 0-0
Dagenham & Redbridge (League 1) - D 1-1 (Murray)

All that lot leaves me 3rd in League 1 after 5 games, 1 point behind both Huddersfield and South Coast Club but generally right in the mix and playing well. I was very pleased with the Carling Cup win over Brum as I was 2-0 before staging a fightback, and now have an away trip to Cardiff to look forward to in Round 3. I've got Barnet in the Southern Second Round of the JPT after having received a bye in Round 1.

Haven't made any signings, although I've extended Sczcesny's loan for a further month. Although both Brez and Casper are fully fit and available, I don't like to change a team that's doing well.

All in all, I'm still very much enjoying this year's version and would gladly have bought it if I wasn't getting a free (and entirely legitimate/legal, I hasten to add) copy. :clap2: :clap2:

Is anyone else's running a tad slow. When trying to access results it takes a good 30 seconds to load. Is it a fault with the game? 2010 worked splendidly on my computer with no glitches at all.

Hi mate, are you able to save the screenshot okay and open it in Windows from the Screenshots folder? If you aren't getting a screenshot at all try it in full screen mode - ALT+F9 takes the screenshot and then upload it to photobucket..

Can't wait to see your update

You've done all the hard work! Just get the 'Direct Link' from the gallery page of your photobucket, and when on the reply screen on here (which I'm typing in now) choose the little landscape picture and copy/paste the Direct Link in there, it'll put [URL[ [/URL] tags around the link and hey presto!

Cheers mate!

Me too! Agree, Turkey. If enough people downloaded it illegally there wouldn't BE a Football Manager any more - or a game industry at all for that matter.

I am struggling horribly with tactics. Have started 3 different games with Brighton and haven't managed to get decent tactics with any of them.

As a general rule, I've been trying to immitate the current style of play. This means shorter passing, playing generally 'control' or 'attacking' then switching to 'counter' when ahead. I've got pressing set to 'more'.

I started out with a straight 442, but found that my midfielders weren't giving my defenders enough options so they tended to hoof it forward. Then went 4-1-1-2-2, with a DM, M and then two wingers, with passing concentrated to either flank, but this left me over-exposed in the middle. Now I've gone 4-3-2-1 and I can't get my striker involved in the game and am finding it impossible to score goals that aren't moments of individual magic. Add to that the error-prone nature of defenders in League 1 meaning that the opposition are getting at least a couple of clear cut opportunities a game and it's made for some really frustrating results.

Any suggestions? What tactics are people using currently?

Try mine? I developed it for FM08 - and it's been downloaded about 30,000 times for the games since. I've PM'd you

Started my proper game now.

I'm not signing any new players as I like to play with the current squad although I've handed new contracts to Glenn Murray, Jake Caskey, Lewis Dunk and Liam Bridcutt.

Loaned out a load of players, Walker (Stevenage), Agdestein (Rushden), Hart (Luton), Wilkins & Thomson (Cheltenham), Simmonds (Barnet), Cook (Forest Green) and James Smith (AFC Wimbledon).

Looking to use this formation and line up this season -
