I don't count Ash as Britpop, its not fair on them, they still make good music and have easily stood the test of time whereas all those other bands (even Blur and Oasis to an extent) were only successful during that period. Ash became more successful post Britpop.

Plus they are Irish.

Oasis, Cast, Blur, Pulp, Ocean Colour Scene, Manic Street Preachers, Bluetones, Radiohead.

I think they are all great. :)

I've been listening a lot just lately to "Return to the last chance saloon" by those Britpop greats, The Bluetones. This is a great album - and one which surfs the crest of the last year of Britpop better than most

I have Expecting To Fly and Luxembourg, how does it compare against them? I think Luxembourg is a good album but I think Code Blue is a bit to cynical for my liking.

You've overlooked Elastica! They were the best of the britpop bunch by miles.

Personally, I'd go for Leisure as top Blur album. Oh, and anything by Ned's Atomic Dustbin. Absolute quality!

So did Feeder though, and they're bollocks.

(Cue Safeway's impassioned defense of the recent two-piece)
