I just tore my Achilles Tendon, nasty, now I need a physio, never needed to use one before! Anyone been down this road before?

smashed my knee up as you know and without the fiz i do not think i could still be running in and bowling at 88.7 mph (ahem) they are not cheap but i got 3 months worth paid for on my health insurance and about 2 months nhs ,defo worth a go.

I presume it's been repaired.

It's torn not ruptured, the doc just told me to keep off it and take some anti-inflammatory stuff and go see a physio

I just need to find a decent one, I have health cover from work, which helps!

well my whole ankle area is pretty badly swollen, its difficult to tell (not sure exactly where to feel (shut it tay!!!))

he felt around, and then pressed the back and I nearly jumped out of the window!

Sounds like more than tendon damage. Would think you have to get the swelling down before it can be investigated properly.
There was a thread a few months ago, mentioned a few local physios, but I can't find it.

Better sort it because it's not good rupturing it. Couple of months ago I had a little niggle..only aware when I ran on it. Played cricket and ruptured it on June 14 Been plastered and stitched up untill last week, onto physio next week at Southlands.
Adur Osteopaths have good a good physio I have been told.

No, it was during the Chailey match, and then Jamie made me open the batting and I got out for 0 - I shouldnt have even batted !!
