1) Watching the Elphick substitution, i'm sure Slade had a pop at him after he sat down on the bench. Not sure what he said but elphick certainly said something to him when he passed him. Elphick was awful today and i'm afraid if he can;t defend now he never will be able to. Get rid!

2) Perhaps ive only seen him play once but I thought Tunnicliffe was a liability in all honesty. Did mark tight! Cant play on the deck! looked like a fish out of water. All he offers are decent throw ins. First time i'd seen him and wasn't impressed!!

3) Why doesnt Slade play cox on the other wing from the start? Made a massive difference when he came on. Did more than davies in 5 minutes.

4) Forster was different class! Without him we have nothing! Dicker also played particularly well in fairness.

5) Difficult to assess the keeper. didnt have to do much apart from pick it out the net 3 times.

6) El Abd isnt a left back, full stop. I fhe plays out of position then the man thats picks him is at fault IMO.

Badger - Quite right about Elliot. He offers something we've been lacking for a long time. I said last week about him not getting the ball and becoming anonymous. 2nd half today he got the ball and destroyed them.

BTW - I didnt mention everyone, just the things i saw fit to mention.

If i added my player ratings

Smith - 4 difficult to assess.
hoyte - 5 steady again
El abd - 4 Not a left back! Not his fault he gets picked there either.
Tunnicliffe - 3 Immensely poor today for me.
Elphick - 3 Always tries hard but just not up to it.
Dicker - 7 sometimes could be a little more direct, but good performance.
Crofts - 5 Has ability but needs to use it more.
Bennet - 7 destroyed them, but only after half time.
davies - 5 Non existent and doesnt offer much.
Dickinson - 6 loves himself and his own existence, but best game so far.
Forster - 8 Worked hard and got 2 goals. Without him we'd be bottom.

Why not bring on Murray for 15 minutes at the end for Forster?

Why bring the only guy off, forster, who looked like scroing everytime he got the ball.

Murray as a third striker, now thats a different option entirely. Slade cant think that tactically though.

Really? The game i watched saw Cox being his usual self of diving, bottling out of challenges, not working hard enough and poor crosses into the box

Bollox. Coxy has had to sit on the bench for the last few games now while the likes of Davies and Thornton have been given their chance on the left. But now its clear that Coxy is the best option we have in that position. He's not going to beat the defender on the outside but will always put in 100%, will get in a flood of crosses, is intelligent enough to provide the occasional killer pass and will track back and defend.

Coxy must start next week :clap2:

what the f*** does that mean?????

He think he's the Nuts! You can tell.

Dont get me wrong i thought he played well today and should have scored a few more but im thinking he thinks he's better than he really is.

Good today - Shit against Oldham!

We should definitely start with Cox. He gives us options on both wings. Without him we only play down one side. The opposition can read us too easily!

This may be Fixtures (I have more of a life than to check various threads) but all 6 goals today came from attacks down the right side. This proves only that, Bennett is our biggest (only real?) threat and that we had no leftback. I thought El Abd did ok but was horribly exposed.

Hartlepool's number 11 had acres of space down the left hand side. Luckily his team mates were WAY too dumb to take advantage of the fact.
