Dunno if mentioned on here but i have been enjoying "Sweet Tooth" on netflix, based on a graphic novel, end of world type thing but it's quite gentle, other than half of the world dying....
Thanks for this, just finished it, it is excellent.

I’ve come across the series 24 on Disney+ with Kiefer Sutherland, I’d never previously heard of it. It ran from 2001 to 2010. A ludicrous plot and impossible timeline, plus it feels a bit dated with annoying background music.

24 was great but the later ones do jump the shark and - spoiler - starts that god awful trend of bringing people back to life from the dead.
That said, I think I watched them all. Much better than watching all the "Losts"
I remember waiting a week when it was on Sunday nights back in the day. The first 12 episodes were fantastic.

The Darkness , a new Icelandic thriller adapted from the books of Ragnar Jónasson, has its first trailer.
Sky Showtime is showing the six-part series, which is set in Reykjavik, among the isolated fjords.
The story – the first in his Hulda series – follows Detective Inspector Hulda Hermannsdóttir (Lena Olin), who is given two weeks, before retirement to solve the cold case of a young Russian woman, whose body washes up on an Icelandic shore. Hulda discovers that another young woman vanished at the same time, and that no one is telling her the whole story. Even her colleagues in the police seem determined to put the brakes on her investigation.
It’s an English-language and will show on Sky Showtime across the Nordic regions from 1st November.

Not US, but on RTE.
Rather enjoying the oddly titled The Boy That Never Was.
Some nice performances thus far (3/4) and some nice twists with the added benefit of a haunting theme tune.
Recommended.

Fans of Icelandic crime will be delighted to hear that one of the island’s most prolific and award-laden novelists, Yrsa Sigurðardóttir, is having one of her book adapted for TV.
The novel in question, DNA, is now being called Reykjavik 112.
It’s the first story in the Freyja and Huldar series and starts when a young woman is brutally murdered in her home in Reykjavik. The only witness is her seven-year-old daughter.
When another woman is murdered shortly thereafter, the police are at a loss. A radio-amateur receives peculiar messages which connect him to both of the murdered women and his curiosity drives him to begin an investigation of his own. Huldar, the police officer in charge of the investigation, and Freyja, the female psychologist entrusted with the seven year old girl who is their key witness, are forced to work together. Their collaboration is complicated by the fact that they recently spent the night together after meeting in a bar where Huldar claimed he was a carpenter from out of town…
The series is currently being made by German production company nDF, who say that German and French viewers will soon see the series. Let’s hope UK viewers will too.

I’ve watched a couple of these and think The Guardian has it about right.
Will certainly continue with it……try to find it ‘in the usual places’.

US network HBO has revealed first-look images from a new crime drama from Mare Of Easttown creator, Brad Ingelsby.
Set in Philadelphia, Task stars Mark Ruffalo, Mickey Sumner, Raphael Sbarge, Mickey Sumner, Brian Goodman, Elvis Nolasco and Colin Bates.
Sbarge plays Police Chief Dorsey, who oversees a multi-unit operation to assist FBI Agent Tom (Ruffalo) in of the city’s suburbs to stop a string of drug-house robberies led by an unsuspecting family man. Sumner portrays Shelley Driscoll, who is desperate to escape her husband Ray, with Goodman as Vincent Hawkes, one of the 13 National Leaders of a dangerous biker gang. Nolasco plays Freddy Frias, the savvy and ruthless captain of Philadelphia’s largest drug trafficking organization, while Bates portrays Shane McReynolds, the Sergeant-At-Arms of a dangerous biker gang and a member of Jayson’s inner circle.
Look out for it on Max in 2025, and then – potentially – Sky Atlantic in the UK.
