Another one for Mojo. A Brewdog bar is there now and worth checking out. Also the Northern Quarter is very cool for bars, quite indie. China town for DimSum. Grill On The Alley for steak.

Love Manchester

Been there once only - 4 cocktails came to £75?! Nice view mind you!!

Yeah that is the only problem!!! I remember the last time I went there with my sister-in-law we got smashed on cocktails and woke up the next morning and looked in my purse and thought christ I need to remortgage to get back to Brighton!!!! Felt shite all day and took me about three days to recover from that one!!!

Not sure there are so many " drive by " shootings up there these days, if its over between you and the wife, man up a and do it legal with a solicitor.

Just got back from a weekend visiting family, went out Saturday in the Northern Quarter and really liked it, agreed with other comments of steering clear of the Printworks. EastZEast authentic punjabi restaurant was also amazing, one of the best currys I've had in a long time.

One of this countries friendliest cities, was a regular visitor until a few years ago, it's easy to get talking to people in pubs and almost without exception everyone (genuinely) knows Brighton well and speaks good of the place, My favourite daytime drinkers used to be Sinclairs and The Crown n Anchor both opp Harvey Nicks

we record the Jeremy Kyle show at Granada Studios here on thursdays and fridays - if you'd like to bring your missus to a recording drop me a message and i'll look into getting some tickets (its free) I mean, what more could you want.
if you're not into culture and Jeremy Kyles not your thing - i'd agree with most of the recommendations above - Dimitri's is a nice tapas place on Deansgate, Mojo is a nice cocktail gaff which doesnt break the bank, and Akbars does a decent curry but the main attraction is their naans which are the size of david platts face and hang off a massive hook.
