O/T Mac help needed please

My other half has bought herself an ibook.

(yes, yes, I know, but what can you do?)

She needs to be able to resize photos for her website by specifying the no of pixels (250 x 186). Does anyone know if she can do this with the software that's bundled with the machine or does she have to buy a separate program? Or a free download?

All suggestions gratefully received especially step-by-step instructions that i can pass on to her so that I don't have to get involved with the bloody machine

I haven't got my Macbook with me right now, but it should be possible in iPhoto. Something like...

File pulldown menu > Export > File Export tab > Size--Scale images no larger than:

Just checked it on mine, that is indeed exactly what you need to do.

No I have software that does that. What's more important is that even with the extra software my PC is a lot cheaper and a lot more versatile.

I think it has just been demonstrated that this is the case. A few simple clicks on the in-house software and the job was done.

What's more important is that even with the extra software my PC is a lot more versatile.

Mac is the only computer in the world that can run all the major operating systems, including Mac OS X, Windows XP and Vista. With software like Parallels or VMware you can even run them side by side, I'd say that a little more versatile than your xbox with a keyboard

not if you have the right hardware. (i.e SS3 capable stuff)

Still, I got my MBP for OS X
