Stay clear of the M25 in Surrey. It is a right old mess at the moment due to an "explosion". Could be closed all day.

M25 shut after explosion on lorry
All eight lanes of the M25 are closed after a lorry containing hydrogen peroxide exploded, police said.
The fire is under control on the vehicle which is at junction 13, the exit to Staines, in Surrey.

Thick smoke is billowing across the motorway and traffic is backed up to junction 15 anti-clockwise and junction 11 clockwise.

Surrey Police say no-one has been hurt but drivers are being advised to avoid the area.

Taken me 4 hours to get back from Heathrow to Sunny Seaford. I was one of the lucky ones who got diverted off onto the A30 at Staines . Those in front had no where to go:nono:

And tragically, when you finally got to Seaford, it was still there :lolol:

Pity it wasn't just off the end of the M23, just think how many millions of pounds worth of improvements a large explosion would have made to Croydump.

What amazes me is that hours after the road was closed people were still joining the queue. Some people only know one way home, buy a map book.

Even better was seeing people looking at their map books trying to find a different route when they didn't even move for 3 hours and evey bugger was being diverted at the A30 and going the same way.

I managed to avoid it amazingly! Got to the office which is near staines, about 45 mins before it happened, and all the diverted traffic was coming through Chertsey to re-join the motorway but only added 15 mins to my journey on the way back. Think i was lucky!!
