Forgot all about it. not too bothered though, think i've had enough if it (done 7). Last year i thought it was full of total wankers but perhaps i'm just getting old. Latitude is more fun.

totally forgot, reminded by xfm as I was driving home yesterday evening. Logged on, waited in a queue for ten or so minutes and put a deposit down for two. So much easier than the pain and anguish I've gone through on previous years, marvellous

Is lattitude that good? I've tried a few others and despite Glastonbury getting worse with its size and type of people going nothing come close to the Glastonbury experience. No tried Lattitude yet though

Got one of the deposit ones, still not sure if I will actually go though. More will come on sale when the payments bounce or people who got a deposit ticket decide not to pay the rest of the money come Feb.

well, i certainly wouldn't go expecting it to match the Glastonbury experience in any way becuase it won't. but i don't agree with those who look down at Latitude just because it's "middle class, Guardian families plus kids", which it in fact it (partly) is. it has lots to recommend it: a very eclectic music line up with bands not playing elsewhere; an awesome comedy line up (just don't try to get in the tent just before the big names); lots of little bands hidden away in the woods/smaller stages; the poetry arena is brilliant as is the cabaret and literature; it's great for going with mates and splitting up/meeting again (nigh on impossible at glasto); great for going with a group of mates and actually camping together (impossible at glastonbury unless you get there wednesday morning now); it has a decent sized and reasonably priced supermarket that is not overrun and means you don't need to take us much stuff; it's on sandy ground so despite any heavy rain it doesn't get muddy AT ALL, it just drains straight off (been to glasto recently?!!). it has late night stuff on also but not through the night like G. i have been in 2007 and 2009, both years i went to glastonbury also, and Latitude was just a more fun experience. however, if you want to camp next to (as in virtually sharing tent walls) with crayzee people off their heads on pills and coke all night (who nowadays are more aggressive like the Reading crowd) in a pigswill field and spend hours and hours getting in and out of the festival then Glastonbury's still for you!! (i still love the Park Stage and green fields though).

Got my tickets yesterday. Went this year for the first time after years of being an inverted snob about it, and it was fanstastic. Can't wait for next year, should be great.
