O/T: Barclaycard online access blocked

I can't access my Barclaycard account, to see if my Leeds ticket application has succeeded. Have tried day and night, last 24hrs.

It seems I'm not alone, others have been trying for several days ...

Under the £35 million deal, Barclays acquired the card portfolio, its operating facilities and its UK staff from Discover Financial Services. But the Barclaycard spokesperson was unable to confirm if this migration of customers had contributed to the outage.
The bank was unable to provide more technical details at the time of writing.

Still not working.

Have tried their Internet Assistance tel, where all you get are apologies and deflection from passing query up to a manager (rumour has it that they get the sack if they do at the India call centre), and then also the normal Customer Services (based in Teeside - not much differrent progress, but she has offered to refer on).

Online account access just says "We are currently experiencing high demand, which may affect the speed of the service", which implies try again later if fail, or a bit slow to click through each stage to see account.

"Teesside Lady" was able to tell me my ManCity DVD has been charged for (not even available for another three weeks), but nothing shown for my hoped for Leeds ticket - grr ...

A pal told me he was having trouble with Barclays Online Banking service as well...

Might just be a temporary glitch, but annoying all the same :rolleyes:
