I'm in!

Hope Daniel Bryan makes an appearance in it otherwise it looks like it's gonna be a win for Batista

I'm always unsure how much to say on these wwe threads, because I'm the sort of fan who follows the insider news, and know what the current top five matches are for mania, but I don't want to spoil things for those that just enjoy watching it unfold. I will say Daniel Bryan recently gave a radio interview where he said at this point he is not in the rumble. They have kept a few places unannounced to allow for surprises, so he could be added, and wwe do change their plans a lot.

All of this. Classic WWF days. Bobkin Jnr reckons Ultimate Warrior is making an appearance at RR this year. Dunno where he got that from?

I'm in, by the way, if there's still a spot?

The ultimate warrior has been announced as the first, and headline, name for this year's hall of fame class. His relationship with wwe hasn't been the closest, but they have come together on a deal for this. Warrior has a bit of a reputation, apparently when he does conventions and appearances he refuses to stay at the same hotel as other wrestlers, doesn't want to interact with them, and if he runs into any he will leave. I don't know how they are sorting that out for the hall of dame, but it sounds like too much of an issue for him to appear in the rumble.

Know there's a fair few wrestling fans amongst the NSC fraternity, and with every other tournament going seemingly having a sweepstake set up on here I thought it was only right we have one for this Sunday, and WWE's second biggest PPV of the year, the Royal Rumble.

Obviously the sweepstake will concern the Rumble match itself. 30 NSC'ers (myself included) will get allocated an entry number on a random basis, which will represent the wrestler who enters at that number in the match. The winning NSC'er is the one whose wrestler is the last man standing after the 29 other combatants have been thrown over the top rope.

At this point the only guaranteed entry number is CM Punk at #1, therefore for the 29 others it's a surprise who they'll get. They could have a great chance of winning with one of the favourites Batista. They could get an outsider like Roman Reigns, or one of the surprise returns or cameos, for example RVD or Chris Jericho. Or you could be drawn one of the short straw and get The Miz.

First 29 who post below that they want in get an entry number, which I'll draw after we have all the participants.

Just a bit of fun, and gives anyone staying up for it a vested interest in the outcome (besides betting!)!

When are you making the draw buddy?

Has anyone else on here ever been lucky enough to attend a big PPV show in the States?

I've been to two WrestleManias and I'm sure any others who have done similar will back me up in saying what a brilliant experience it is to see live.

Was at the last ever Backlash in Rhode Island. Great spectacle, but was sitting right up in the gods - the other WWE events I've been to (a few Raw and Smackdown records at the 02) I was 3-6 rows from the ring, so the PPV actually felt less of an 'event' in many ways.

Same when I can afford it! Have a friend who went to 27 & is going this year. He's considering Rumble in 2015 so if I can afford it by then I might join him for that.

Cool number 30 :) Although I will most likely be passed out drunk under a table by the time they enter anyway...

Number 30 doesn't win very often. If I remember rightly from the annual 'Rumble in numbers' video packages the one to watch is number 27
