I believe he fell from a ladder and hit his head. He was kept highly sedated to help him heal. But they had to operate to remove blood clots and after that he went downhill.

Just goes to show you could be plodding along happily getting your life in order but it could all be gone tomorrow.

never a truer word

rest in peace mike
condolences to family and friends

I am so sad to hear this news. I really appreciated listening to the Albion on the web when I lived in Liverpool, belated thanks Mike, you helped me feel more part of things when I was far from home. R.I.P. mate.

As others have said, Mike was my way of keeping in touch with the Albion with his 'commentaries' something that he did because of his love for the Albion. So very sorry that he is now another on that very long list who will never see us at Falmer.

RIP Mike, we won't forget you

Are there any plans for a memorial garden at Falmer?

That's really, really sad. I remember Mike from way back.

BUT, I think Daddies Sauce has got a great idea, what better way to commemorate
the fans that we've lost in the last 12 years.

I think a memorial garden would be fantastic, a permanent reminder for every one
in the future, I can't think of a better tribute!
