A thread for all your wildlife Flora and Fauna finds and questions. Preferably local.

No intention to tread on the toes of the Photography (some excellent wildlife shots on there!) Gardeners Question Time or Birds Spotting threads. Just a place to keep sightings and questions in one place.

To kick off .. What I believe to be Common/Harbour Seals down at Rye Harbour the other week. I've discovered about an hour or two before high tide is the best time for spotting them.

Also, anyone know exactly what this. Some kind of Horsefly I think, but it was huge!

I saw a great flower spider on twitter the other day from someone who is a Brighton fan. Can't find it now. White dangerous looking fella. Quite big.

House spider (Tegenaria domestica)?

Orb Web Garden Spider (Araneus diadematus)?

I have to remove the former from the house with a glass and paper underneath or else I can't settle. Fine with them outdoors.

The Orb Web Garden Spiders are stunning in the early Autumn sitting in the middle of their giant webs.

Well here's a thing.

Sat in the lounge watching MOTD and...
