I'm pretty sure I know which two I got right, on the grounds that the other three were complete random guesses.

Now, I'm going to issue the second round of fixtures and questions and a slight TWIST. All the answers are years- so you may struggle to be precise. SO, as you are pitted against an opponent the 'goal' will be scored by the one who is closest. If you both get it right then obviously you both get a goal.

Just to bring clarity. The top flight/Premier League will always be referred to as Div 1 in the questions, regardless of the year in question. Just to assist those who have been indoctrinated to think the football began after 1992 :censored:

1) The last year in which Bristol City appeared in Div 1
2) The wartime year in which the Albion recorded an 18-0 defeat to Norwich City
3) The last year the FA Cup was won by a team that finished outside the top 10 positions of the Div 1.
4) The year in which the last English manager won Div 1
5) The year in which Albion scored their biggest win at the AMEX.

Brighton Lines can you post the answers for those of us who aren't in the league but want to have a go at the questions anyway?

I'll put them up after each round.

Seems a bit harsh on Lindfield, that it’s his u23 side against the Badger’s first XI.

Late result from R1: Lindfield23... 2 The Complete Badger... 1

Here are the answers:

1) Albion were promoted from the third division in 1976/77. Who else was promoted with them ? Mansfield Town and Crystal Palace
2) Who did Albion beat to record their first ever win in the top flight ? Bolton Wanderers
3) Alan Mullery took over Albion for the start of the 1986 season. Who was the first match against ? Portsmouth
4) Barry Lloyd left Brighton after a defeat at Port Vale in November 1993. What was the score ? 4-0
5) What position did Albion finish at in the first division in 1982 to record their best ever season ? 13th

Interesting group of responses as the questions were mixed in their correct answering. Question 5 was most commonly correct.

Just Barham's tash and Grombleton to go for the second round

By tomorrow would keep things moving.

Poor performance but happy with a away point though it could easily have been 3 points if I'd have remembered the Port Vale score correctly as I was actually there :lolol:

You should win the next one as I realised I made a really stupid error with my answers in round 2 when submitting them last night after a few beers!
