Hi all, pleased this is happening again. I've been avoiding the NSC trolls for the last few months but still aimed to be involved in this, unfortunately it looks like I've left it too late to log into NSC. Good work though people.

Welcome back Albumen - the CD legacy lives on, as do the trolls....

I've been considering setting up an alter ego as a troll on this board- what would be a good subject? I was going to call myself "Leibstandart" and only post cryptic one liners about hooligans, but it's already been done.???

There's a gap in the market for a troll who makes catty comments rubbishing everyone else's taste in music. Our music threads are generally fairly civilised. You could also do the same on the "What book are you reading?" thread. I think every other thread is trolled - apart from the infinite jukebox.

And the Word Association one. You could troll that really easily.

Working from home today. Postie has just been and the post THUMPED rather than fluttered on to the mat. I excitedly went to retrieve it to see a jiffy bag addressed to me:clap:

Only two things. 1) I have an hour long team meeting in FIFTEEN MINUTES. And 2) when shaken it rattles, much like a baby's toy or a hippy checking to see how many lentils are left in the box.

I'm scared. More later.

Maybe its ANTHRAX, be safe I wouldn't open it in a confined space.

No, it's better than that. Having cleared the street and donned a Haz Mat suit I have found it contains SWEETIES. I hope they're in date.

It also contains a Parquet Courts track, a The War on Drugs tracks and one of my favourite tUnEs of the year - a tUnE that came within a whisker of making my own list. This Santa is ace.

As you can see- quite a collection spread over two CDs. I have given most attention to CD 1 as that is in the car at the moment and has accompanied me on the way to work. I guess with this whole concept you are going to listen to music that you would not normally pay attention to. That is the case with my collection- but that's not a negative. I have particularly enjoyed the first three tracks- a festive number and a Def Leopards cover version and Valley Girl by Frank Zappa. Some of the tracks did not do it for me- Green Day and Genesis numbers but still got the second CD to try out. I have no idea who you are Santa- I can work out who you are not at this stage! But thanks once more. Merry Christmas.

A child of the '70s. Could be one of three. I have my suspicions, but, I must say, I have made an ATROCIOUS start with my predictions - two incorrect guesses, then a rather lazy jumping onto Flex's more circumspect and astute deduction. Hoping I can break my duck here...
