Tournament
It takes place on Sunday 7th September at Coldharbour Leisure Centre in
Mottingham/Eltham, SE London (it's a big modern sports complex just off
the A20).
The aim is to have 16 teams (we're nearly there) competing in 4 groups
of 4 (15 mins e/w games). Then the groups split into knockout
competitions with a main competition for the group winners & runners-up
& a Plate competition for the 3rd & 4th placed teams. These rounds QF,
SF & Final will be sudden death 15m e/w + 10m sudden death &then if
necessary pens.
Entry is £50 (which can be postdated till the 7th of September to allow
you to get the funds back from your team members). All proceeds will go
to the British Heart Foundation (altho' we have a few expenses refs &
sports centre hire specifically).
The max squad size is 20 players. The venue has a fully licensed bar,
kids play areas, TV screens & all mod cons. It should be a great day -
teams entered so far include Celtic, Rangers, Charlton, Palace & Arsenal
to name but a few - the draw will take place next week so I need the
cheque to guarantee your entry by Tuesday 12th August.
