the times is following the independent's lead and producing a tabloid edition from wednesday, to be available in London.

Good idea i think (we could have the whole debate again but i think not!!) but murdoch's said they have no plans to increase distribution to outside london.

The indy's going nationwide sometime soon...

Hope the Torygraph follows suit soon. Make it easier to do the crossword in trap 2 at work.

The Independent already has gone nationwide hasn't it? You can get it in Southampton now anyway.

Apparently they've been flooded with letters requesting the masthead be made bigger so it's clear they're not reading the Express or Mail. Good call I think.

As for the Sun going full size, it can only increase the size of the page 3 girl so...

Not exactly rocket science is it? Wow - let's give the people a paper they can actually read on the disgustingly overcrowded train! Hand that hotshot in the marketing department a bleedin' coconut!

It's like when M&S never used to take Access or Visa, only their own crappy charge card. And they wondered why their sales were going through the floor and all the foreign tourists or occasional shoppers buying a cardie for their mam had to go away empty-handed. I mean, doh!

One day even the Albion might hit on the bright idea of issuing a DVD of the double championes glory days. Or opening the club shop on a Sunday. Or having more than one van selling cups of tea etc. etc.

:dunce:
