Mickey must go now - he's just said he doesn't feel like a hero - he is right there he is a failure and I hate to admit it but he has definately lost it

He is not the man who was here before and its a shame

I used to be proud to be a Brighton fan, now I'm not so sure. We fought bravely tonight, irrespective of what people on here are saying we had begun to take a foot hold in the game before the sending off! Please explain the reasoning behind sacking Adams 3 games after we backed him in the transfer window? Also the idea that someone like Curbishley or Ince will takeover is an absolute joke! I say lets support the team for the next 17 games and do what we do best as fans and dig us out of trouble! Also please get a f***ing grip!

I agree. I have been in the Adams camp and thought we should give him time. His has now lead me to dispair and clearly shows that he has lost it. Tonight he got it all wrong.

Dead man walking the way i heard it...................

Sad to say we need a change of direction. We have got the players in ( V encouraging but the results are no better so what does that say?)

In my book it's the management.

DK needs a sweeping change...MA/BB/DW all to go.
get in new backroom staff and start giving it a real go.............THEN maybe us as fans will see that theres a reason to continue paying money and sit in that dump of a stadium.

Its simple econmoics peolple will not pay for rubbish. ( and if they do out of faith you will soon see numbers falling off week to week until there is reason to go again)

Funnily enough I am not that disappointed about tonights result................but totally

dismayedat the performance and ineptitude of our team

Why does the team I support have to be so shite............?

Enough is enough. Time for a change. This was probaly the only thing keeping him here. We are not improving, we are getting worse. The defending was passionate, but not organised. The only people who stood out were Kuipers (apart from when Virgo was deaf, and one back pass that should never have been played back to him) and Forster (really showed the youngsters up and my Man of the Match).

Please that is enough now.

What absolute shite.

So we sack Adams/he resigns in the morning? then what? Who do people REALISTICALLY think we're going to get as a replacement? Holloway? Curbishley? Jan Poortvliet? For christ's sake we're in the bottom 4 of the third tier. the transfer window's closed, whoever comes in wouldn't be able to make the sweeping changes people think are necessary. We need to knuckle down. We need to battle. We just need to stay up. if we're in this position this time next year then by all means start whingeing. But now, we've just missed out on wembley due to some shit refeereeing and crap penalties. Millwall on sat is important, and orient next week too. not tonight.

Its surprising the difference just a change in face can make....has Dick got the balls to do it.....or do we meander towards relegation, hoping for a magical change of form.

So you blindly follow this until when then?

Now we have time, we have brought in some players but obviously we need a change of direction.

Bring someone in with big contact, bring players on loan who CAN keep us up. Simple.

The only change needed is in the management. The players are good, they just lack confidence and direction.

It's not blindly following, it's sensible. Yes, Adams hasn't been a riproaring success, yes we're not playing "total football" but what do people realistically think will happen if he goes? Too many (and i'm not saying you do) people think we'll get in some magical figure of a manager (with a great record) who'll sign class players on loan and save us. it doesn't work like that in league one. maybe if you're spurs and you can bring in redknapp and give him loadsa money it works but it doesn't work like that for a team in the bottom four of league one.

I dunno what site you think you're on mate but the vast majority on here calling for Micky's head do not think sweeping changes are necessary, that's precisely the point! The squad is more than good enough to stay up, just need some leadership and confidence

Fair point. The squad is good. And maybe i've had one too many beers, but i'd quite like to know who exactly we'll (realistically) be able to get in who can instill this leadership and confidence, with under 3 months to go. Whether or not we should be, we're in a relegation battle, and I think Adams can get us through it.

Tonight was a desparately unfortunate defeat, and on penalties. If we sack Adams it should be for losing against Millwall and not beating Northampton and Crewe at home, not for missing out on a trip to Wembley that no-one ever really cared about at the start of the season.

It could be argued that it was thinking like that, that got us into this mess in the first place...

Clappers, you make a very intelligent observation (and for the record I wasn't keen to see Wilkins ousted).
