Couldn't happen to a nicer team, especially those planks Dineage & the ugly bell ringer, what's his name, Quasimodo.

I was going to bet on them to get relegated when 'onest 'arry left, in the end I didn't. I don't know why.

They could easily end up like Leeds, only worse as they don't have the fanbase. They're in massive debt and their wagebill is huge. Owner wants out asap. And their two best players have just left.

Oh, what? The Villa fan? .....But Portsmouth now....Strange...

Its interesting that they didn't sell out against Bristol City but they had 35, 000 at Wembley & 250, 000 for their FA cup parade...???

Tosser, hate the c'unts.

Much as I'll enjoy Pompey struggling, I'm also quite amused by the absolute glee with which Spurs fans are celebrating a deal which sees them spending £15m on a player that they released for half that 11 months ago...

They've just got £35m for players, surely they'll be ok? (unfortunately)

I think the owner will do as little as he can to stay up, and could easily get it wrong. He wants to sell, so will want to be a sell a Premiership club, but I can't see him re-investing BIG money to do it. He'll hope throwing £5-10m Adams way will be enough, but I don't think it will be.

Spurs wont see it like that because they have saved £4M by not paying Jermaine's wages for a year. :lolol:

They reckon Pompey owe Spurs around £11.5 million in payments from previous transfers, so I'm sure it's not quite the deal the club are making out.

The BBC also reports that Pompey have offered new contracts to Glen Johnson, Sean Davis and Richard Hughes. Tony Adams, on the subject, says "If you work hard and are scrapping for Portsmouth and pleasing the manager, you'll be rewarded."

Rewarded?? By staying at Fratton Park :lolol: Nice one, Tony.

With Defoe and Diarra gone, half the team demanding transfers, and 'Arry the Messiah replaced by the football world's equivalent of David Brent, I wager it won't be long before Johnson is scratching his signature on a tidy new contract elsewhere too.

What a SHAME.

The ideal, and very possible scenario, for me, would be to see Pompey, Southampton and Bournemouth all relegated this season

I certainly wouldn't want to see Bournemouth go out of the league this season!

replace Pompey with THE ALBION.

Why? Have we just sold Jermaine Defoe?

Completely different scenario, there's no sudden descent from riches to rags, no jammy Cup win, and no queues of clubs itching to snap up our best players for outrageous sums of money.

But apart from that, yes, we're identical.

Frankly, the only similarity is that we both have home grounds that are an embarrassment to football.

I feel sorry for all those die hard fans that decided to support their local team when they got into the Premiership. How would they cope if their beloved Pompey were floating about in The Championship. :nono: I feel for them.

Wouldn't it be great to welcome them to Falmer as we pass them in the other direction?:D

Poor sods, whatever will they do if they're not playing Man United and Chelsea week in week out:down:
