The wheels according to some are coming off. Rubbish. 1 bad day at the office. Wilkins has done enough this season to be given full backing from Knight and the board and indeed the players.

He had a poor first season imho, especially the home form with a dismal run that cost quite a few sth's with 1 win in 12 home games but this season he has built on the squad with some shrewd acquisitions to show he can deal in the market with Whing, Richards, O'Callaghan and to a lesser extent Martot all adding something to the squad and in particular the bargain bucket £ 75000 paid for Forster who looks like he came out of the championship a season or 2 too early.

Wilkins has brought on the new players and under his guidance we have some real prospects here, Cox, Robinson, Lynch and recently Fraser and the best prospect this club has had for a decade, Elphick.

In January I am sure DK will allow Dean to wheel and deal further. I think we will end up flirting with the play offs this season and decent cup runs on 2 front may see a final at Wembley or an away game at Man Utd yet. Not bad for a first full season with little money or facilities for a rookie manager. Dean has done ok this season and deserves full support of the fans now. I have criticised his appointment but there is no point comparing what he has done and what other managers may have done now.

Dean and Ian Chapman are the future of the club and we have the greatest chairman in the football league, forget Abramovich, Dick Knight I would not swop for anyone.

I think we will have a bright future in 2008 and onwards to the hallowed turf of Falmer when this club will push strongly up the divisions and the premiership within 5 years.

Keep patient and cut the manager and chairman some slack.

I very rarely agree with you US but on this I think you are absolutely right. I do think DK has been a bit of a nob about flouncing in the press but as you say... one bad day in the office.

I'll back Wilkins and the team 100% as i always do at the GAMES .....no question

I will however raise issues on here

Your post is correct to a point but you can also put a negative swing on it , its not your way or the highway , thats your opinion, fair enough !
