Nottinghamshire are without injured pace bowler Greg Smith for the game against Sussex at Trent Bridge.

New Zealand spin bowler Daniel Vettori is back after missing the National League victory against Derbyshire while Charlie Shreck is also in the 12-man squad.

Usman Afzaal is left out again after missing the last Frizzell County Championship match against Kent while Chris Read is behind the stumps after England decided to opt for Alec Stewart in the first Test.

Sussex have pace bowler James Kirtley at their disposal after England decided not to include him in the side to face South Africa at Edgbaston.

But they are without Jason Lewry as they attempt to keep the pressure on Surrey.

Lewry will be out until the end of August after sustaining a side strain against Leicestershire last week while wicketkeeper Tim Ambrose is having intensive treatment on a knee injury but should play.

Shaun Rashid is out for three weeks with a stress fracture to his left foot but seamer.

Charlie Shreck? Great name.

Lewry's always injured, he's the Paul Kitson of the Sussex team

Difference is Lewry wants to play and is always devastated when he gets injured, he has so much talent and could probably of made it big time if he didn't keep getting injured, whereas Kitson was just a lazy fucknut that didn't give a shit and made up injuries!
:lolol:
