i'm philosophical about this season - Europe was great but a burden, RDZ was way over hyped in the media, injuries, Fati, injuries, poor performances, injuries. I think that Tony's gambles didn't really come off this season. Despite RDZ saying we still have a chance at Europe (?) lets get this season over and consolidate. Clear out of a few in the summer, get our injured players back and hope that TB is going to dig a bit deeper in the summer for some prem ready players to bolster the team.
Just before the Liverpool game away, someone did a poll on how many points we would get out of our final 10 games. I went for two.
The thing is we play like we look like we can win, so I am strangely not bovvered about the form.

Be careful looking at our squad.
More holes than swiss cheese. A mixture of ageing players whose legs are gone, injured players hoping they'll come back as good and youngsters who need time to learn the premier league.
Nowhere near a squad aiming for 6th to 10th, 13th to 17th at best.

Interesting that we have only lost 11 and 7 of those are to teams in the European spaces this season, with 2 more against teams 8th and 9th.
Only really poor part of that is not winning at least 1 game against Everton, Burnley or Fulham.

I'd say Peacehaven v Newhaven is the Tideway Punch Up. Even at Stanley Deason we made sure only our top boys were sent to the annual Tideway mash up- along with the St John's Ambulance. I remember that poll, i put 12 which at the time i thought was realistic. My reasoning was win Burnley match, win at either Muff or Brentford and also one more home game and pick up 3 draws along the way. I thought at the time that you were being very pessimistic but now it is clear you will probably be closer than me to the actual result!
Out of interest i am now going to search for that poll and see who put what. Maybe things like that deserve to be revisited after the final result is known as it seems a shame that whoever gets it right receives no credit for their prediction?
