White £0 - sold £50m.
Biss bought £15m - sold £35m.
Cucu bought £15m - sold £50m.

I wish every time I spent £30,000,000 I got £135,000,000 back.

Oh and once again:-

Southampton FC, ta muchly.

The Graham Potter effect.

Spent about £300k on transfers in Östersund - sold for ca £10m
In his Swansea season they bought players for about £7m and then sold players for about £30m, and this excludes Roberts & Rodon who became first team players under GP.

TB was certainly aware of that. Find and buy raw talent and develop it... sounds very simple yet most clubs struggle with it.

It's a truly perfect match up.

Tony's Analytics and Potter's development skills/ tactical nous

I wonder how long before Potter hits his ceiling here?

Ashworth, GPot and Starlizard deserve a lot of credit.

With a nod (just a nod) to Bielsa too.

Interested to see how we do without DA.

Yeah it will be - I always thought his particular value was irt English youngsters.
I guess he has a pretty good contacts list too.

Can’t solely attribute that £135mill to the Graham Potter effect? Both Bissouma and White were already at the club before he arrived

Bissouma, White, Burn and Ostigard were all at the club before Ashworth arrived too.

We have to find a way to keep this man no matter the cost , i love him to bits just for himself not just his tactical genius and, i think that is just who he is and as such the players will thrive of that . I appreciate that is pretty obvious ,but name another Manager we have had that has the same attributes .

And I should imagine Barcelona are arching an eyebrow at the suggestion that GPott magiced £35m worth of extra talent from Cucu

Of course not, nothing can be solely attributed to any individual. The main key to the success of Biss, White and Cucurella is Biss, White and Cucurella themselves but then you also have a hundred people working to make sure they get the tools and environment to fulfill their potential... and in that regard GP and the coaching team obviously have a lot of influence.

Newcastle will buy Bloom in January, so just stop fannying around with fantasy football league, eh? Is Third Division South still up and running somewhere? 6-0 last time we played there! Bring it on (or bring it back)!

He’d make a very good top 6 manager but is an exceptional next 14 manager. That doesn’t mean he’ll stay here super long term but I have faith we’ll continue to grow as a club before and after he leaves. Let’s just enjoy the ride and as with our best players, hope we can not only extend his stay a little but develop a couple of replacements in the meantime too.
