Cardiff chairman Sam Hammam was keen to sign Morris
Released Chelsea midfielder Jody Morris has rejected an offer to join Cardiff City.
The Bluebirds were preparing a press conference for Thursday to unveil Morris as their second singing of the week.
But the club received a phone call on Wednesday evening from Morris' representative saying the former England under-21 international had changed his mind.
Manager Lennie Lawrence said: "It has come as a complete shock, totally out of the blue."

Morris has been linked with Spurs and Blackburn over the past few months, but Premiership newcomers Portsmouth have emerged as the favourites to sign the midfielder.
