Tesco have just announced record profits of 1.4 or 1.5 BILLION pounds which equates to something like 4.4 MILLION pounds profit per day.

And people moan about McDonalds.....

I reckon the staff should all ask for a pay rise.

Also helps that they don't spend £1m a year on getting a fat tongued mockney to advertise for them.

You are being overcharged. Its a rip-off! Not me, I don't shop there.

How much does a live cow cost? Lots and lots when chopped and put in pretty packets.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
I cant complain, Tescos is one of our biggest clients and unlike most, they pay their bills on time.

S'pose ilike anything else it benefits some but not all.

Thing is it's not just food you can buy in supermarkets these days. You almost don't to shop anywhere else as you can now get everything from electrical goods and clothes to holidays, loans, breakdown cover and pet insurance.

Once Safeway even does cheap sex, but that's strictly on a franchise basis and shouldn't be expected in every branch.

Morrisons is a very good store I agree. We should soon be seeing some south of Watford Gap as they have taken over Safeway (sex or not).

There was a light-hearted piece in the Mirror last summer about how certain town and cities prefer certain types of music, and they listed people Brighton as not particularly going for Fatboy Slim and other current music, but as having a preference for Country & Western. The source for this information was Tesco. That's fine - but for one thing. THERE ISN'T A BLOODY TESCO IN BRIGHTON.

I'm bloody miles from Tesco. Where's the nearest? Holmbush? Anyway, for food, it's Sainsbury's every time.
