The U23s kick off their season today away v Norwich , new names in the squad will be interesting to see how they get on .

Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23 side get their Premier League 2 Division 2 campaign underway against Norwich City at the club’s Colney Training Centre today, kick-off 2pm.

Simon Rusk’s team ended their pre-season preparations with a 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, and now visit the Canaries, who finished bottom of the league last season.

Both games between the teams ended in a draw last season, with a 1-1 draw at the Checkatrade.com Stadium being followed by a goalless draw at Carrow Road on the final day of the season.

Summer signings Josh Kerr and Steven Alzate could both make their league debuts for the Seagulls, while a number of last season’s under-18 squad have made the step up for this campaign.

Henrik Bjordal has also returned from his loan spell at IFK Goteborg, and will be available for selection as Rusk assesses his attacking options ahead of the game.

Albion supporters can follow a live text commentary on the Match Centre at BrightonandHoveAlbion.com, while a match report will be published after the game.

ALBION (squad from): Sanchez (GK), Collings (GK), Moore, Collar, Cox, Hall, Kerr, Molumby, Hutchinson, Sanders, J. Davies, Bjordal, Mandroiu, Ajiboye, Tilley, Alzate, Connolly.

HT: Albion behind at the break after Efete broke the deadlock with a superb bicycle kick from a corner. Connolly went closest for the Seagulls, as he looped an effort just over from inside the penalty area.

GOOAALL!! Hutchinson equalises from close range after Tilley's cross to the back post was squared across goal by Bjordal. Simple finish for the midfielder, who was in the right place at the right time.

1-1

Come on Albion

GOOAALL!! What a brilliant free kick from Tilley! The winger steps up and bends the ball into the top corner from 25 yards. Similar to his pre-season effort against Shoreham but hit with more power.

COME ON

Surely we should be looking for a good loan move for Tilley as he seems to have a very impressive record in u23 matches.

Tilley is 19 now.

Considering he made his first team debut a few seasons ago , If he's going to make it must surely break through this year.

Good start to the season
