Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23 side get their Premier League 2 Division 2 campaign underway against Norwich City at the club’s Colney Training Centre today, kick-off 2pm.
Simon Rusk’s team ended their pre-season preparations with a 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, and now visit the Canaries, who finished bottom of the league last season.
Both games between the teams ended in a draw last season, with a 1-1 draw at the Checkatrade.com Stadium being followed by a goalless draw at Carrow Road on the final day of the season.
Summer signings Josh Kerr and Steven Alzate could both make their league debuts for the Seagulls, while a number of last season’s under-18 squad have made the step up for this campaign.
Henrik Bjordal has also returned from his loan spell at IFK Goteborg, and will be available for selection as Rusk assesses his attacking options ahead of the game.
