The result is irrelevant. I get criticised for this every time we play in the cup, but these are the games I HOPE we lose. Whether we get to the first round or the third round will have no bearing on our season, so let's crash out asap and get on with what matters. I hope that happens in the JPT and FA Cup too.

But the loss of our best two midfielders is a fatal blow. If you look at our bench on Saturday it didn't contain a single player you would actually want to bring on. Now two of those will have to play in the first team. We already needed three players, and if Alan is out for a while make that four. Tony Bloom, Gus Poyet, stop the talking and the poncing around and DO something before it's too late please.
