He pulled his hamstring at Coventry i think and he wasn't the same player again as it kept playing up. If that hadn't happened he would of been first choice. My opinion.

In Buckley, KLL and Noone we've got one too many given that Gus will only play one of them + one as a sub. He's a decent prospect but I'd let him go while his stock price is good and use the £££ and add it to what we have for the CM

So you think they will all be fit all season then?

We've rarely had players of Nooney's quality at this club. Rather than rub our hands together and dream of a modest fee we don't need, why don't we relish the thought of him returning refreshed and invigorated and terrorising full-backs as he did at the start of last season?

So true. Would rather get rid of CMS.

Likely not but I would anticipate some issues given we generally play one wide man. Not suggesting we don't need 3 but I think we could better use our budget and strengthen other areas. Not to say I don't rate Noone at all, just that the club will be working to a budget and it feels like a luxury to have 3 top drawer players competing for what feels like one spot

Supposition ... we're not a club bankrolled by Russian gangsters or Middle Eastern Oil barons. I'd argue that a tight budget is something that TB is focussed on

Crikey, those Cardiff fans seem to rate him very highly, not a negative thing to be said about him. Shame the same can't be said for the message board of his current team.

So you know Gus will only play one winger next year? First season he played a flat 442, then promotion year he alternated between a diamond and an all-out 433 with Barnes Murray & Wood. This year, one up top with one winger and Barnes 'floating', or even full-on 451. Who's to say he won't change again next season and go with 2 wingers?

Or, for that matter to all those entertaining the idea, that having 3 options for 1 slot is a bad idea? It's great to have strength in depth, and seeing as Buckley & LuaLua don't exactly have spotless injury records, it might be wise to have someone of Noone's quality in the squad. He was 1st pick early in the year and our best creative outlet, writing him off for some average games after Christmas with a dodgy hammy is short-sighted IMO.

Plus Cardiff have their well-publicised investment now, so I'd want £2-2.5m for him before I even got out of bed. With their new found riches and given they're likely to be amongst our rivals for top 6, they can swivel for £1m.

No of course I don't know but it was on that basis ... nor did I say anything about £1M which I think is too cheap, given the last rejected offer.

I'm only thinking we have a surplus of good wide men with shortages elsewhere ... if the budget allows us to keep all and add to areas where we clearly have weakness then all well and good.

I loved Noone at the start of last season.
He was fantastic, lively, skillful, and a firm fans favourite.

Then Lua Lua came along, and showed everyone exactly why Noone is second rate.

Either take the (any) money and run.
Or take him out of the team until such time as he can pass and cross, which may well take some time.

Did Noone roast full backs for fun, at the start of last season.

This is a genuine question.

I remember him being great, incredibly lively.
He covered so much of the pitch making him difficult to mark.

But I also remember seeing KLL roasting every full back and hitting decent crossing along the 6 yard line, and thinking:-

'if only Noone did that'.

Noone was untouchable at the beginning of the season . After this he had good games but so often lacked that final ball. On his day is absolute game winner but his day wasn't produced enough after the opening 2 months of the season.

We have depth in this position so anything over 1 million and happy to sell

When given the ball(which did become a problem) he more often than not, did roast the fullback.

Noone danced around a bit and lost possession. Looked good but rarely any end product.

So if someone wants to pay a £1m we should bit their hand off!

I take a million in a heartbeat. Noone is like a good looking bird, who flirts with you all night stroking your leg and running her hands over your groin under the table. Then leaves you with a kiss on the doorstep and the promise of a blowjob tomorrow....but tomorrow never comes. Or should that be cums lol......Why take it around your man once, when three times will do, then stick it in row z.

If you think Noone is like a good looking bird, I dread to think of some of the munters you must have had!
