I did not renew my ticket for the first time since our glorious homecoming and now I am extremely relieved.
Had to miss both Orient and Walsall home games and am now going to miss a whole lot more methinks.
Who else is ruing parting with all that money to watch this shit.

ADAMS SORT IT OUT.

I don't understand this mentality. Because we're not playing well and results aren't good, you're relieved you're not going? I go to watch and support Brighton as they're my team despite what's happening.

So I pressume when results pick up and the team are playing good football you'll then start coming again. This is not being a fan.

I could'nt renew this season because of situation outside of football but am missing not going because I support Brighton and Hove Albion whether we are having a dodgy spell or not.

Frankly if I was interested only in free flowing positive football I would'nt follow us would I?

When we do well (and we will I am sure) I think it is even more sweet if you can say "I was there when we were shit..were you?"

I am waiting for an unexpected windfall to go into my bank account, until that comes in i will buy a season ticket

BUT now I am wondering if I should get one, as for the home games i have been too, I have paid £10 twice and £15 from STH that are unable to attend

I am making a saving of £3-£9 a game by buying them every week from people that cannot make it. Over a season of 23 games that is a lot of money saved

Some people can't afford to spend (not a dig at Questions or anyone else here!) £500-odd on something which they don't enjoy. I fall into this category - even if I had the money now I probably wouldn't buy a season ticket because I don't get entertained and I do get rained on. Hopefully by the time we get Falmer things will have changed both in terms of the team and my lack of money, but for now if that makes me a bad fan so be it.

Likewise: I have paid £ 15 per ticket for the 3 games that i have attended, plus there are several matches available for half price when purchased by a season ticket holder.

Probably will save a fair few quid over the season.

I believe that going to watch a poor football team play poorly while getting wet in an uncovered and overpriced seat is, indeed, a fan. Fan being short for " Fanatic" i.e

—Synonyms 1. enthusiast, zealot, bigot, hothead, militant. Fanatic, zealot, militant, devotee refer to persons showing more than ordinary support for, adherence to, or interest in a cause, point of view, or activity. Fanatic and zealot both suggest excessive or overweening devotion to a cause or belief. Fanatic further implies unbalanced or obsessive behavior: a wild-eyed fanatic. Zealot, only slightly less unfavorable in implication than fanatic, implies single-minded partisanship: a tireless zealot for tax reform. Militant stresses vigorous, aggressive support for or opposition to a plan or ideal and suggests a combative stance. Devotee is a milder term than any of the foregoing, suggesting enthusiasm but not to the exclusion of other interests or possible points of view: a jazz devotee.

Going to watch a team play exciting enjoyable football on a nice day is called being a "supporter" and its important to know and understand the difference.

I can put up with us being shit most of the time but not all of the time. I`ve been lucky in missing two of the debacles but it never stops me getting angry even if I have been absent.

I'm well aware there are many people who cannot afford it, that is completely different, many of these people would love to watch the Albion week in week out but can't. Questions point however, 'I am relieved' (and yours) I fail to understand this mentatilty towards a club you're supposed to support.

For me, I enjoy every game at the Albion, win, lose or draw, sunshine or rain because I'm watching MY team play, it's never boring. You'll be going when we get to Falmer - when we've got more money to get good players in and a roof over your head to keep you dry.

See you at Falmer.

Just to clarify Elder. I am relieved that I did not buy a season ticket because I do not want to go every week if we keep playing like this. A season ticket would probably mean I would go to all the games and then spend all evening moaning about it. This way I can moan at a cheaper rate.

I cannot believe that anyone enjoys every game , win , lose or draw in all weathers, unless you are a brand new fan who previously stayed at home on a saturday afternoon with his mother, doing jigsaw puzzles and baking.

Of course you`re right, it will be better at Falmer in more ways than one.

The trouble is even through the humour above there lies an issue which I am afraid the Albion cannot ignore.

several people have said they will go to Falmer and not waste their money on Withdean.

The catch 22 is that if people do not go to Withdean and Falmer is delayed, people just may "fall out of love" with the albion. I know many people who used to go and dont now...they have found other things to do and in some cases other teams to support. Also we need money to keep going and build a team for Falmer and I suggest that Adams appointment was to make sure we got us into the championship for the opening at Falmer...if people dont go where is this mopney going to come from? The Blooms pockets are only so deep!!!!
