No Trains From Brighton Until 8.30 On Sunday

Got something to say or just want fewer pesky ads? Join us... 😊

All over BBC SCR this morning.

Buses will replace trains from 7:00 until 8.30 am from Brighton to Three Buridges on Sunday morning.

Will probably add at least an hour on your getting to London time and will give big problems to anyone booked in on the 10:00 from Paddington:angry:   :censored: :shootself

Big round of applause for South Central AGAIN

  :tosser: :tosser:

Another great bit of management by them, a little like when, on the hottest day of last year, when thousands upon thousands were pouring into Brighton to hit the beach, not to mention thousands more for the Pride parade, and they were only running 4- carriage trains into the city.

People were getting into fights as they tried to get on trains, but the people already crammed on them like sardines refused to let them.

Can see that happening at the weekend anyway, regardless of having to use bus services, but this really isn't going to help....

Network Rail set the weekend engineering programme but South Central (or Southern as I believe they call themselves this week) do have some influence over it. Or could have an influence on it if they weren't so regularly clueless about predicting demand for their services.

Whichever company is responsible, the person who made this decision is a complete div.

Wow, haven't called anyone a div since I was at primary school!

This has got nothing to do with South Central/Southern.

Blame Network Rail for this one.

In a nutshell! The whole problem with the fecking railways, today innit!

Blame someone else! And then just sit back and be the victim of "someone else's " decision rather than influence it.

Altho', as always, it's the passengers who are the real victims of this nonsense.

A classic school playground insult: not too nasty, but sufficient to brand the individual as a bit 'special'.

Might have to prepare that one for Sunday:

"Get up Rougier, you div!"

Ah, radical, I remember that one too.

Also remember Skill (later dropped after we were reliably informed that it was actually an African bum disease), Wicked and Ace. Along with Spanner, Spazzer (how ashamed I am now) and that facial expression much beloved by all kids, where you stick your tongue behind your bottom lip and make that sound intended to convey to the victim that they were a little on the retarded side.

All equally tragic in their own special way.

:lolol:

Hang on, wasn't this thread about trains?
